Our family-run engineering company has been operating since 2014 however our expertise and skills were acquired many years before.

Richard Smith and his eldest son Craig set up the business in Ipswich, Suffolk, after gaining significant engineering experience working across the UK and into Europe for some of the world’s largest brands.

Richard in particular has undertaken a lot of work in the food and agriculture industries over the last four decades, which in part led to the company’s focus on specialist milling processes.

As business grew his youngest son Adrian joined the company alongside former colleagues, who were hand-picked for their high level of workmanship and valuable experience.

Total Milling Solutions continuous expansion of the business saw Neil Baker join the team in early 2022 as the Projects/Sales Manager. Neil’s expertise is in designing & selling bulk storage, conveying and drying systems for grain-based projects from agricultural to commercial plants.
